Research & Scholarship
The Baylor Graduate School helps equip research doctoral students with the opportunities needed to become ground-breaking scholars. From travel awards to grant writing workshops to fellowship opportunities, our goal is to help students excel.
GPS Workshops
The Graduate School offers several free, interrelated workshops each academic year designed to help our students succeed throughout their academic journey at Baylor and even beyond graduation. The workshops are branded as GPS Workshops: Grad Pathways for Success under the auspices of the Baylor University Graduate School.
Graduate Writing Center
The Graduate Writing Center is a resource for all Baylor graduate student writers (online and on-campus) who desire to improve their writing skills. Consultants help with writing projects at all stages of the composition process - generating ideas, organizing, and revising - whether students are working on academic papers, reports, personal statements and applications, papers intended for publication, theses and dissertations, or grant proposals.
Campus Academic Resources
Baylor offers a host of other campus-wide academic resources available to graduate and undergraduate students alike. Be sure to check out all the academic resources within your research areas and needs!
Graduate School Forms, Policies, and Appeals
Like any graduate school or university, Baylor has forms, policies, and appeals processes to protect your rights as a graduate student. We often reference these as a way to help you achieve the most you possibly can out of your graduate program and your time at Baylor.
Summer Dissertation Fellows
In an effort to support students working to complete their dissertation, the Graduate School offers a select number of Summer Dissertation Fellow positions. A Summer Dissertation Fellow designation provides a reserved spot in the week-long intensive Dissertation Writing Lab, membership in a bi-weekly writing support group, and consideration for financial support depending on need (e.g. not being paid on a 12-month stipend).
