Pursuing a PhD in School Psychology
My undergraduate experience at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (UMHB) nourished my commitment to lifelong learning, firmly rooted in the tenets of Christian faith. The nurturing and faith-based learning environment of UMHB stimulated my intellectual curiosity for the field of school psychology and enriched my spiritual life. By taking courses infused with a faith-based perspective and receiving mentorship from devoted Christian faculty, I was introduced to the intersection where psychology and faith harmoniously converge. I uncovered God’s calling for myself within the discipline of school psychology, perceiving it not merely as a profession but to encompass a passion and ministry. The experiences I developed at UMHB empowered me to integrate my Christian faith into the pursuit of knowledge. As I continue my spiritual and educational journey at Baylor University, I strive to be an effective servant of God while being a continual learner of my discipline and faith.
