Dina Florian

Dina first joined Baylor in 2002 and has served as a Systems/Analyst in ITS, various roles including Assistant Registrar in the Office of the Registrar, and Associate Director or Enrollment before joining the Grad School in 2015.  She holds a BA in Computer Science from Hope College in Holland, Michigan and an MA in Linguistics from California State University, Fresno with training in both General Linguistics and TESOL.  Her Master’s Thesis explored how hearing adults learn American Sign Language as a second language.

She enjoys the functional tech space where she can apply her technical experience to the functional business operations, including crunching numbers and analyzing data.  This space allows her to communicate effectively with both technical and functional personnel.  In her role, she leverages best practices in recruitment and enrollment to direct the development of two Slate CRMs, assure data integrity and accuracy, lead projects, and enhance existing functionality and user experience for staff, students, and prospective students.
