Medical Nutrition Services
The Baylor University Counseling Center dietitian provides nutrition counseling within a nonjudgmental space. The dietitian and student work collaboratively to develop a personalized eating plan with each student’s health goals in mind. Our dietitians works from weight neutral, non-diet, HAES (Health at Every Size) and Intuitive Eating philosophies to encourage a lifelong, positive relationship with food and body. Regina understands the challenges facing busy college students. She believes that a good relationship with nutrition is a cornerstone to wellness, social engagement and performing well in Baylor’s rigorous academic environment.
Other nutrition resources:
- Find meal plans, nutritional information, and a list of dining venues on campus at Baylor University Dining Services
- Check out resources such as The Store, a student food pantry, and free food events to help address food insecurity issues.
- Telehealth Nutrition Assistance, Baylor's partnership with AcademicLiveCare is free to all students. Urgent Care and Counseling resources are readily available to all graduate students, but so is nutrition assistance. Work with a nutritionist to be sure you are meeting your health needs. Fueled bodies and minds means more focused academic work—care for yourself before your research.
Childbirth and Adoption Accommodation
In recognition of the challenges of balancing the demands of graduate study and parenting a new child, this policy aims to improve the environment for Graduate Assistant (GAs) student-parents by addressing the conflicts and issues that may arise as the two goals of advanced education and parenthood intersect.

Short-Term Leave Accommodation
Graduate students suffering from a serious medical condition may apply for short-term medical leave from their academic and assistantship responsibilities. Either the graduate students or their graduate program directors (on behalf of their graduate student) may apply for this emergency leave.
