Graduate Student Appreciation Week

We have some great prizes each year for the raffle—ranging from gift cards to local eateries, to a free Faculty/Staff parking pass, to tickets to sporting events. Many of these prizes range in value from $25-400! Make sure to follow the rules below. Unfortunately, we are unable to record attendance at an event after the fact. 

The Nitty Gritty

1. For every Graduate Student Appreciation Week (GSAW) event a student attends and signs in at, they will receive one (1) entry into the Raffle. 
2. For each post on Instagram or X (formerly Twitter) tagging @baylorgraduate and #BaylorGSAW, one (1) additional entry will be awarded. However, these posts must be of substance and not mere tags (at the discretion of the Graduate School).
3. For some raffles students must sign in and be present at the event to win (see "Where are the raffles taking place?"). The final raffle is open to any and all graduate students that attend the week's events. 
4. Attending the GSA Giving Day fundraiser at Mod Pizza on Wednesday, March 13 will earn five (5) early raffle entries. You must turn in your MOD Pizza receipt with your name and nine-digit Bear ID to the Graduate School before 5 PM Friday, April 5. 
5. After the week's events are complete and all raffle entries are tallied by 11:59 PM Friday, April 5, GSA will contact the final raffle winners about their winnings on Monday, April 8. These final prizes are first come, first served in the Graduate School office. If you win a raffle prize, you must make your way to the Graduate School to pick your prize. 
6. If after 2 days a student winner has not claimed their prize, the Graduate School and GSA will re-draw from the entries and contact any runners-up. 

Great question! There will be three separate raffles with multiple prizes. Remember, the more events you attend and the more you post about #BaylorGSAW during the week, the more raffle entries you will have. This leads to a greater chance of winning a top prize!

Raffle #1 – GSA Assembly (Wednesday from 12–1:30 PM)

At the end of the appreciation lunch portion of the GSA Assembly, several prizes will be given away to those in attendance. For this raffle, you must sign in and be in attendance to win. If you do not win a prize at this raffle, no worries! You will be entered to win one of the prizes at our final raffle. 

Raffle #2 – Pop's Lemonade at the Grad School (Thursday from 2–3 PM)

During the lemonade hour at Morrison Hall (the home of the Graduate School offices), GSA will raffle off more prizes. Again, for this rafflle, you must sign in and be in attendance to win. If you do not win a prize at this raffle, no worries! You will be entered to win one of the prizes at our final raffle. 

Raffle #3 – Final Raffle After All Events (Monday, April 8)

After the week's events are complete and all raffle entries are tallied by 11:59 PM Friday, April 5, GSA will contact the final raffle winners about their winnings on Monday, April 8. These final prizes are first come, first served in the Graduate School office. If you win a raffle prize, you must make your way to the Graduate School to pick your prize.
