Creating/Proposing Accelerated Options
Existing Degree Programs
Most often new accelerated programs are created for existing undergraduate and graduate degrees, i.e., degrees that have already been approved and appear in course catalogs. In these cases, proposals simply need to seek approval for modifications to the undergraduate degree plan by identifying the graduate courses that are approved for accelerated students in their senior year.
New Degree Programs
If you would like to create a new degree (either undergraduate or graduate), the new degree must be proposed as normal—outlined here. In your proposal for the new degree, undergradaute or graduate, you should keep in mind the guidelines for accelerated UG/GR degree programs. Additional information about the optional accelerated program should be provided for consideration.
